The problem is, Apple has stopped supporting 32bit applications in the latest macOS 10.15. Control Center is a 32bit application and Brother didn't update it to 64-bit version. So until Brother updates it to the 64bit version, you will not be able to use Control Center to scan. However, that doesn't mean you won't be able to scan to your Mac.
